What is the difference between beeboo® and WhatABubble™?

beeboo® Big Bubble Mix is the product we used to set the first world record for largest free floating soap bubble. beeboo® is supplied in a 16 fluid ounce bottle, has a gold color and a pleasant citrus aroma. The dilution rate is 7:1; add one 16 fluid ounce bottle of beeboo® to 14 cups of tap water, to equal one gallon of big bubble solution. Solution works great right after mixing, works best if left to age overnight, and will keep for days or weeks if kept free of dirt and debris, and stored in a covered or closed container, in a cool dark place.

WhatABubble™ is also a concentrated product, designed initially for plastic bubble toys, like big bubble swords, Unbelievabubble Big Bubble Swords, plastic bubble hoops, and some have even used the product in bubble machines. WhatABubble™ is supplied in a four fluid ounce bottle and contains no color or fragrance. The recommended dilution rate is 8:1; add one 4 fluid ounce bottle of WhatABubble™ to one quart of tap water. Again, the solution works great right after mixing, works best if left to age overnight, and will keep for days or weeks if kept free of dirt and debris, and stored in a covered or closed container, in a cool dark place.

We have many reports from customers who say they have even better results with WhatABubble™, if they dilute the product beyond the 8:1 dilution. Customers report that when using WhatABubble with big bubble swords or Unbelievabubble sword and scabbard, they get more bubbles per dip, and the resulting big bubbles release from the plastic wand better with a more dilute solution.

Both products are terrific for making really big, huge, giant, monstrous bubbles that are colorful and last a long, long time. Both products exhibit self healing, which makes it easy to create bubbles within a bubble. Just blow on the side of the big bubble, like you are blowing out a birthday candle, and voilà, you get a bubble in a bubble!

Bubbles in a beeboo bubble

Many other customers have reported that when they mix beeboo® and WhatABubble™ they can achieve certain bubble characteristics for stage show performances and other unique bubble and big bubble applications. Therefore, we encourage our customers to experiment with mixing both products to affect the special characteristics you desire to achieve.

In our field trials, on a lake in Northern Minnesota, we compared WhatABubble™ to our original big bubble concentrate, beeboo® which set the first world record for largest free floating soap bubble. The weather conditions were absolutely perfect. In the early morning hours, a natural breeze gently blows from the warmer land, over the cooler water. The lake was absolutely calm, and looked like glass. Both the beeboo® and WhatABubble™ bubbles, gently drifted from the shore and out over the water. Sometimes the giant bubbles would lightly touch down upon the surface of the calm water, hitting the surface, then bounce back up into the air, continuing their journey out over the lake. Both the beeboo® and the WhatABubble™ bubbles lasted for over six (yes 6) minutes! Actually, I quit timing them after six minutes. Some (not all) of the big bubbles, actually drifted so far out over the lake, we lost sight of them! Those bubbles lasted well over six minutes! Actual iPhone images of big

Features of WhatABubble™:

  1. Low cost.
  2. Concentrated. You don’t have to pay for shipping water.
  3. No color or fragrance.
  4. Good bottle size for shipping.

With the high cost of shipping products nowadays, we actually designed WhatABubble™ in reverse. We found that a round, cylindrical, four ounce bottle would be the perfect size for shipping. Why is that? Because you can fit five (5) four ounce bottles of WhatABubble™ perfectly into one USPS small flat rate shipping container. That means you can ship five bottles of WhatABubble™, enough to make over 1.25 gallons of big bubble solution, anywhere in the United States for only $4.95!

The rest of the story: The real reason why we invented WhatABubble™.

I thought the name “WhatABubble” was a really cool name. So I trademarked the name, and then invented the product.
